9. Dezember 2010 - Vancouver, BC: New World Resource Corp. (New World” oder das Unternehmen”) gibt bekannt, dass die Bohrungen auf dem Lithium Salzwasser Projekt Pastos Grandes, welches sich zu 99% im Besitz des Unternehmens befindet und im südwestlichen Bolivien liegt, fortgesetzt werden.
Das Unternehmen unternimmt momentan Bohrtests und Stichprobenerhebungen am dritten Aufstellungsort in einem Bohrprogramm mit ungefähr acht Aufstellungsorten. Erste Ergebnisse der Bohrungen werden im Januar erwartet. Jeder Aufstellungsort besteht aus einem Versuchsloch, das die Tiefe und Dicke der Aquifers identifiziert. Dem folgen dann mehrere Bohrlöcher auf verschiedenen Tiefen innerhalb einer dichten Gruppierung. Jedes Bohrloch innerhalb der Gruppierung wird unabhängig jeden Aquifer, wie jeweils innerhalb des anfänglichen Versuchsloches identifiziert, prüfen. Diese Gruppenbohrtechnik wird an verschiedenen, überall im Projektgebiet verstreuten, Stellen vollendet. Zusätzlich dazu, dass Salzwasser-Proben auf zahlreiche Elemente und Polyatomionen analysiert werden, werden außerdem eine Reihe von hydrologischen Tests unternommen. Proben von verschiedenem Aquifers sind an das Laboratorium geliefert worden und auf die Ergebnisse wird gewartet.
Das Unternehmen hat Oberflächenstichprobenerhebungen des Salzwassers bis zu einer Tiefe von 1.3 Metern vollendet. Dieses Stichprobenprogramm ergab sehr gute Ergebnisse mit durchschnittlichen Lithiumgraden über 1.000 Teile pro Million und einen Kalium-Gehalt von 1.73 Gewichtsprozent. Das Magnesium Lithium - Verhältnis ist mit 2.2:1 auch sehr gut.
