The 3rd BAGL afFAIRs – Huge group exhibition of national and international artists in the middle of Berlin from 07.09.-11.09.2011
On 7. September from 6 p.m. it´s BAGL time again! For 5 days artists with a diversity of artistic styles will present their works at the Spandauer Straße 2, 10178 Berlin-Mitte, very close to the Hackescher Markt at the coming BAGL afFAIRs 2011. Since 2009 the BAGL afFAIRs takes place in fall, supplemented since 2011 by the BAGL SPRINGtime in spring. Organizer is the Gemeinnützige European Artists Going Live (EAGL) Unternehmergesellschaft (haftungsbeschränkt) since 2010. The concept of the BAGL exhibition is based on the participating artists own initiative, who make through cost sharing for hall- and wall rent, catalogue print, advertisment etc. a professional exhibition possible. So a platform for newcomers and already established creatives is given, parallel to the commercial art fairs of Berlin.
About the rapid growth of popularity the participating art scene and front woman and organizer of the BAGL Jennifer Spruß are very happy.
The concept works. Meanwhile the BAGL afFAIRs and the BAGL SPRINGtime is grown up to 45 national and international changing artists. For a wide audience the exhibtions provide a large and various spread of contemporary art, completed through a numerous of events. For each purse art becomes here affordable. Who would like to buy a original is able to acquire a potential prospective demanded masterwork. Each artist is responsible for his prizes.
An accompanying catalogue or a audio tour with MP4 players leads you trough the over 1000 m² huge exhibition space. Most of the artists are on site personally and are available for a stimulate exchange.
Art is in the eye of the beholder, so the visitor is welcome to participate at this years BAGL afFAIRs. With a provided disposable camera the visitor is able to photograph his impressions of the exhibition. Thos pictures will be shown after the exhibition on the BAGL website: www.bagl-artists.de
The exhibition is daily opend from 11 a.m. til 9 p.m. with an entrance fee of 4 € (reduced 2 € / children and young people under 16 get free entrance). The caterer of the restaurant „Max R.“ at Rheinhardtstr. 11, 10117 Berlin and Mirko Bode from Probastor 3: 16 GbR with his beer „Roter Oktober“ are taking care for your physical well. Over and above that the BAGL afFAIRs offers a various supporting program.
After the official opening at the 07.09.2011 from 6 p.m. the band „Curious Egg“ with their programm „Sound Art“ will be on stage. At 08. and 09.09.2011 Kirsten Heidler welcomes to her „Creative Writing Workshop“. At the 08.09.2011 the Djs from the „tanz+klangkombinat Berlin“ will play some music. Further „Trozmo Noid & Karin Krautschick“ will present their „Word-/Soundimprovisations“ and later Caro Kunde with her will play some „Rozzpop from Berlin“ with her band „Induvidu“ at the 09.09.2011.
At the 10.09. from 5 p.m. „Foltergaul & Kommissar Hjuler und Frau“ invite you to their „Novel Reading accomanied by music“. From 7 p.m. an auction of selected art works will take place musical supported by Georgios Papadopoulos with his „Ocean of Feelings“.
At 11.09. from 5 p.m. Isabel Raposo will sing „A Capella Solo“. From 6 p.m., to end the BAGL afFAIRs 2011, the „audience voting for Fine Art, Short Films and Video Art“ will be awarded for the three best artists. The first place for fine art will duly be rewarded: The organizer Gem. EAGL UG provides for the coming BAGL SPRINGtime 2012 4 m exhibition space, including a separate catalogue entry with a value of 445 €. Over and a above the sponsor McStudy.de donates a course module of free choice with a value of 399 €. The second and third places for fine art will win 2 m exhibition space at the coming BAGL SPRINGtime 2012 with a value of 295 € and a course module from McStudy.de with a value of 249 €. The best contribution from the field „Short Films and Video Art“ will be awarded with a exhibtion space of also 2 m at the BAGL SPRINGtime and a course module of free choice with a total value of 544 €.
Between those events you can let yourself be surprised spontaneousley by the artist group A Trois!
